wrecked by the pandemic, students chose to not give up and continued with their will to learn.
Two of our students from TY Civil, Shubham Shelke and Kshitij Pawar were among the toppers of an NPTEL course.
On the extra-curricular front, too, students
showed a creative inclination and displayed their literary skills in essay competitions and new paper columns!
Students also resorted to online learning platforms like Coursera, edX, Udemy and enhanced their knowledge.
Various
online workshops and seminars were organized for enhanced understanding about particular topics. An online Python
workshop was conducted for students keeping in mind the need for coding these days. A webinar on Solid Waste
Management in Aurangabad city was also organized to give a clearer peek into the real-world problems in the city, and
some potential solutions.
The teaching-learning process was very different this year, as all of it shifted online.

We all have experienced that due to pandemic we were compelled to opt for online teaching learning plaVorm, it was not that difficult for students to adapt, but there were many challenges and issues to the remote and village students, but they overpowered the challenge. Online lectures, tutorials and Practical were successfully conducted. The examination like MCQ, descriptive examination and practical are successfully completed by students.
The new online plaVorm was not new but it was very unique due to compulsions in pandemic situation, it was a great learning for faculty and students, there were many challenges but frankly speaking the traditional teaching learning mode is best, because of its acceptance by everybody.
I thank students, staff, faculty, alumni and everyone for kind cooperation and support in successful running day to day activities of the department.
" Yes it's a second chance to survive with more kindness, healthiness and hopefulness.
Dear All students
Regards!
I have been handling the charge of Training and Placement officer since November, 2020. The TPO cell likely to convey the information of the company to the students through Whatsapp groups, Google forms, emails, received from the companies or the online links for the lecture which will give the information about the pre-placement of the companies. This will be always beneficial for giving the information about the companies.
The TPO cell deals with the training of the students in enhancing the employability skills in them, like, English usage, analytical reasoning, numerical reasoning, computer fundamentals, psychometric tests, domain based test, English writing tests, etc.
The training and placement cell is also involved in arranging the activities, workshops and seminars delivered by the company’s experts from the companies from various domains and human resource personnel. These activities seminars and workshops are very helpful and beneficial for the students to become ready engineers for the companies. The soft skill sessions arranged for the students are very much useful and advantageous to face the interviews of companies and represent and expedite their personality at various levels. From this year, the TPO has planned to arrange regular workshops/ training of domain based subjects through the departmental faculty coordinators also it has planned to take the guest lectures and informative talk sessions of the company personnel and the experts from various fields. It’s also under consideration to send the students for the internship/ implant training to the various industries of their respective domains, so that they could get trained and familiar with the working environment of the industries. The student has to focus mainly on the communication skills and mainly the domain subject as per the production and the field in which the company focuses their innovation.
All the best for the future!
Dr. Shailesh D. Ambekar
