Anchor announced “Now i request team Catalyst to publish the very first edition of college annual
magazine”. Back stage-‘Where is the print?’ voice came running ‘I got it, just collected from the
printers,Move!Wrap it! Yes we did it!’ Thank you Mr.Henry Ford.
March 2016, 8 days left for the annual gathering and 4 people started discussing about starting a
college magazine, GECA’s magazine. How did it go? Everyone imbibed the synergism ,people came,
people joined, collected the GECA world in 8 days. And yes ,It was there! CATALYST! Though
there were egregious errors, lack of proof reading, but everyone cherished this baby.Amazing
GECA family. As they say,We learn from our mistakes, So did we.In the first attempt itself, team
started learning everything from editing to designing.Such a great start!
December 2016, as decided in last gathering,Team was early with the preparation .Guest
interviews of Mr.Anil Bokil (Economist),Mr.Achyut Godbole (Author), Mr.Krish Shankaran. ’Make
In India’ Theme and ‘Make for GECA’ competition.A lot were added, amended and grown. Moreover,
CATALYST started its official recruitment process in the same year.Just like other teams in
college, we made a new platform for students.March 2017 was bonanza of love for Team
CATALYST, second edition, double response for articles and workpieces by students.
Now, When ship is flaunting on the shores we realised that, Time flies! Third edition of
CATALYST.Response like never before.New ideas with zeal and passion. And team CATALYST is
running out of words to explain this splendid journey. On account of constant improvement,We
thought making a judas to peep into the several souls with the theme #why?
Why. Which encourage us to answer our probing mind.Which includes all the ‘-isms’,’-
zations’,’emotions’ and plethora of knowledge. A why, which insists us to explore ourselves!
Three years, must not have been the long time for 3 editions, But they have been the bundle of
experiences and love from which we learn and we grow!
Why CATALYST is lucky? –Because it has a backbone named Dr.Meghna Nagori. The backbone
which empowers the team to come up with new ideas and encourages to work hard for the strong
edifice.
CATALYST is lucky because it has a well equipped support system Dr.M.G.Shaikh, Principle
Dr.P.B.Murunal.
And the most important, We are CATALYST, Because we have a lifeline called GECA!
