Q.1- What was your inspiration to UNESCO through an online competition.
study?
Ans: Honestly speaking, I didn't have any
particular inspiration but I knew I wanted
to become an engineer. Coming from a
small town of Manwat, Parbhani, I
moved to Aurangabad after my 10
th
std.My parents didn't have the
educational background to direct me to a
certain sector. Later, I talked to people
and understand the importance of
degree so I decided to focus on
academics.
Q.2 - What were your interests in your
4 years of undergraduate studies?
Ans: I played table tennis for the first
time in GECA and I started to like it. I
played a lot of tennis during my
engineering. Apart from that, I like
reading. I used to read interesting books
apart from studies.
Q.3 - How did you come to know about
various awards such as “Engineering
Oscar” by UNESCO?
Ans: I had a friend who used to study in
ICT Mumbai. From him, I came to know
about different life projects where
technical knowledge could be applied. So
I visited the institute and went on to
form a group of people from different
fields to work on science related projects
as a hobby.I did this in my second year.
We made a water purifier and pitched to

They invited us to Berlin to give a
presentation. We were awarded 12000
pounds for the project. Because our
circle was external, we did multiple inter
disciplinary projects.
Q.4 - After acquiring degrees in
masters form several reputed
institutes, what made you get into
entrepreneurship especially in
maternal healthcare?
Ans: Actually, I withdrew from most of
the courses after I came to know that
you can learn a lot of things on your own
and don't need specific degrees for it. As
we were doing these projects, we
realised they weren't going to be
implemented as they were not getting
any scale. Therefore we formed an NGO
called “Science for society”.Later, we
realised that there is no planned
healthcare service for pregnant women
in India. So we put things into
perspective and designed a system to fit
the current model and made it
accessible to everyone. We developed a
prototype platform for all the
organisations like NGOs and hospitals to
provide a component of care to pregnant
women. During our working period,
there was a significant drop in maternal
mortality rate. So it was clear that this
